Jean M. Metzger

Jean M. Metzger, age 99, of West Manchester Township, York, died at 5:19 PM Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Alfred G. Metzger.

Born February 14, 1926, in Lehighton, she was one of ten children of the late Perry and Esther (Sebring) Walp. She is survived by a son, Lee D. Metzger, and his wife Shahpar, of Bethany Beach, Delaware; a daughter, Sue M. Griffiths, and her husband Rees, of York; a grandson, Sassan Metzger; and a brother, Mark Walp, of Santa Rosa, California.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, with The Rev. Josh Rhone, Pastor of Zion United Methodist Church, officiating. Visitation will be 10-11:00 AM. Private burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army of York Corps, 50 East King Street, York PA 17401.
