William J. Schimmel

William J. Schimmel, age 73, of York Township, York, died at 9:10 PM Saturday, February 21, 2026, at his residence. He was the husband of Christa E. (Barshinger) Schimmel.

Born August 5, 1952, in York, he was a son of the late Robert F. and Elizabeth (Brooks) Schimmel.  In addition to his wife, Mr. Schimmel is survived by a son, Kyle B. Schimmel, of York; a daughter, Kari E. Schimmel, of York; a sister, Ann E Schimmel, and her husband Eugene McGuire, of Denver, Colorado; and his mother-in-law, Nancy J. Barshinger, of York.

Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is in charge of private funeral arrangements.
