Wilson "Willy" Hostetter Obituary

Wilson N. “Willy” Hostetter, age 76, of Lower Windsor Township, York, died at 5:14 AM Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Select Specialty Medical in York. He was the former husband and best friend of the late Joyce E. (Harbold) Tusing.

Born March 4, 1949, in York, he was a son of the late Walter Hostetter, Sr. and the late Alverta (Crone) Hostetter. He first served in the US Marine Corps in the Vietnam War.  He then worked for CC Kottcamp and, more recently, at Caterpillar Inc., where he retired as a parts handler. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, and the National Rifle Association.

Mr. Hostetter is survived by three sons, Michael E. Tusing, and his wife Jackie, of Manchester, Rodney A. Tusing, of Seven Valleys, and Richard C. Tusing, and his wife Donna, of South Dakota; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Walter “Butch” Hostetter, Jr. and Frank Hostetter; and a sister, Judy Fetrow.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 PM, Monday March 2, 2026, at Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, with Pastor Donald Belch officiating. Visitation will be 12:30 to 1:30 PM. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, with military rites presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
